Your First Game

Getting started with Roquer takes less than two minutes. No account needed.

Download Roquer from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). The app is free.

Tap one of the quick-start tiles on the home screen (like 5+3 Blitz), or tap Custom Time Control to pick your own settings.

Place the phone between you and your opponent. The screen splits in half — white plays on the bottom, black plays on the top (text is flipped so both sides can read it).

Tap your side to end your turn and start your opponent’s clock. You’ll feel a small vibration on each tap.

When time runs out (or someone concedes), you’ll see the result screen. From here you can:

  • Share a claim code so your opponent gets credit
  • View the leaderboard for the nearest chess spot

The clock works without signing up or being online. You can create an account later when you want to log games and appear on leaderboards.
