Claiming Games
After every game, Roquer generates a claim code so your opponent can get credit too. This is how both players appear on the leaderboard.
How it works
Section titled “How it works”- You finish a game (via the clock or “Log Game”)
- Roquer shows a 6-digit claim code and a QR code
- Your opponent enters the code in their app — or scans the QR code
Both players are now credited for the game, and both appear on the spot’s leaderboard.

Three ways to share
Section titled “Three ways to share”| Method | When to use |
|---|---|
| Claim code | Your opponent has the app open. They type the 6-digit code. |
| QR code | Fastest option. Your opponent scans it with their camera. |
| Share link | Your opponent isn’t here right now. Send via WhatsApp, text, or email. |
Your opponent doesn’t have the app?
Section titled “Your opponent doesn’t have the app?”No problem. The QR code and share link both work for new users:
- They open the link in their browser
- They see the game details and a prompt to download Roquer
- After installing, the game is automatically attributed to their account
Expiry
Section titled “Expiry”Claim codes expire after 7 days. If your opponent doesn’t claim the game within that time, it still counts for you — but the opponent is recorded as “Anonymous.”
Claiming someone else’s game
Section titled “Claiming someone else’s game”If someone shared a claim code or link with you:
- Open Roquer
- Tap Claim a Game on the home screen
- Enter the 6-digit code
- Done — the game appears in your history and your rating is updated
Log Game (no clock needed)
Section titled “Log Game (no clock needed)”If you used a physical chess clock or played an untimed game, you can still log it:
- Tap Log a Game on the home screen
- Select who won (White / Black / Draw)
- Choose the time control (or “Untimed”)
- Share the claim code with your opponent
Untimed or “unrated” games still count for spot activity but don’t affect your competitive rating.
